Authorities in California are investigating a mother for admitting that she injects her 8-year-old daughter with the anti-wrinkle drug Botox. She appeared with her daughter on ABC's Good Morning America and San Francisco’s Child Protective Services was flooded with hundreds of calls from people concerned about the girl’s well-being. Campbell enrolls Britney in beauty pageants and says she got the idea to give her daughter Botox from other pageant mothers.
Botox injections can be painful and are not recommended for anyone under the age of 18.
The CBT that best fits this article is Growth: God’s people are stewards of His blessings, and with those blessings come great responsibility to further God’s ministry of redemption. These blessings include children and parent must take the responsibility of taking care of them to their best ability and ensure that they grow up in following Christ.
This is pretty disgusting. All those little girl beauty pageants are awful. And they show them on TLC and stuff.. But who watches TLC anyways right? What do you think the fact that a mother injects her own daughter with botox says about our society's conceptions of beauty?
